Montessori educators from around the world enroll at Queenland to advance their careers and their profession. Montessori Childhood Educational programs to adults that lead to the appropriate Montessori teacher credential, and employment in a Montessori educational setting as a teacher or administrator. Students who graduate from Queenland will obtain solid academic knowledge as well as marketable job skills that are essential for success in today's global marketplace.
The program provides comprehensive learning in Montessori philosophy and practice, including familiarity with child development and observation, Montessori philosophy, Montessori materials, classroom management and leadership, and the full range of the Montessori curriculum.
The practicum component provides the student with a supervised teaching and learning experience and a period of observation, internalization, and further study, in order to bring together the theory and practice of Montessori education.
Montessori credential or Certificate program:
The Montessori diploma program is affiliated by the Chinese Montessori Society (CMS) and the Canadian Montessori Society (CMS1) includes courses and experiences to build your professional competencies. The diploma program includes a Montessori credential for Infant/Toddler (ages 0-3), Early Childhood (ages 2.5–6), Elementary I (ages 6–9), or Elementary I-II (ages 6–12) or special needs and education.
Format: Online courses and offline practicum.
Completion time: 24 months.
Credits: 50 (30 credits granted for prior CMS or CMS1 Montessori credential).
Cost per credit (2020–2021): $190.
College of Education
The Program is a master's level program that recognizes and acknowledges the graduate level work done by Montessori teachers in their teacher education programs. The program offers credentialed teachers graduate credit for their Montessori teacher education and offers a pathway through which Montessori teachers can achieve a level at Master of Arts in Education degree. This program can be completed in two years.
If you've completed Montessori certification through a teacher education program accredited by the Chinese Montessori Society, Canadian Montessori Society, or Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), you'll have the opportunity to have your learning evaluated for graduate credit, and up to 15 credits may be granted.
To complete the remaining graduate credits, you'll proceed through a series of online courses, an integration seminar, and an action research project. Your learning will be enhanced by the connections you make with other Montessori educators from diverse locations.
To be admitted to the Program, the applicant must meet all graduation admission standards and procedures for the Master of Arts in Education Program. In addition, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
1. The applicant must possess a valid Montessori credential for Infant/Toddler (ages 0-3), Early Childhood (ages 2.5–6), Elementary I (ages 6–9), or Elementary I-II (ages 6–12). This must be a full Montessori credential, not a provisional or temporary credential.
2. The applicant must have received his or her Montessori teacher education through the Chinese Montessori Society, Canadian Montessori Society, or another fully MACTE accredited Montessori Center.
3. The applicant must have had a verified college certificate or baccalaureate degree upon entering the program.
Format: Online courses, offline practicum and action research.
Completion time: 24 months.
Credits: 45 (15 credits granted for prior Montessori credential).
Cost per credit: Free. Only for Scholarship students provided by the Chenese Montessori Society.

The Program is a Ph. D's level program that recognizes and acknowledges the graduate level work done by Montessori teachers in their teacher education programs. The program offers credentialed teachers graduate credit for their Montessori teacher education and offers a pathway through which Montessori teachers can achieve a level at Doctor of Education in Leadership. This program can be completed in three years.
Generally, the practice-based Ph. D's certificate program at Queenland designed for accomplished, working professionals who are passionate about driving change through innovative approaches in education. You’ll learn the advanced research principles and data analysis methods necessary for doctoral-level research and apply them to a meaningful problem of practice you’ve committed to pursuing throughout the course of your studies. You’ll have the unique opportunity to develop a doctoral thesis, and dive deep into the concentration that reflects your passion and complements your professional goals. Concentration options include Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership; Education Administration, and Organizational Leadership Studies.
